Design and development of a Healthcare marketplace
Background
Tani Salud is an ongoing project, developed as part of Polymath Ventures ongoing startup studio.
In México, plenty of people go without the clinical examinations that they need. According to our research this is not because of a lack of resources, but because a lack of access to critical information at the moment that people need it. Viewed from another angle, the average Mexican prefers to access local, generalist clinics that do not offer the procedures really needed to treat patients.
Solution
Tani was created in response to these behaviours. Importantly, Tani attempts to reduce the "distance" between critical care facilities and specialists, and everyday people that require these services. Importantly, Tani is meant as a disruptor of the existing relationships and behaviours already in place, and attempts to collaborate with existing service providers to improve care quality and trust in the services.
My participation
During my 2 years in the proyect, I contributed directly in the creation of most of the User Interface design and programming. For the Design, my main contributions laid in the improvement of existing user flows, redesigning componentes, and focusing on ease of user and providing users a painless experience. I also was directly responsible for the Backoffice user interface, providing tooling to the Operations team, the core of our team.
As for the Experience Engineering, I was in charge of planning and execution of all programming related tasks. Core technologies for the project are React 18 deployed via Vite using Netlify and AWS service infrastructure.
